She, Who Dared is a feature film project by Gabrielle Rosson currently in script development. The film tells the story of Lois Weber, a groundbreaking filmmaker who challenged the limitations placed on women in Hollywood and became one of the most successful directors of the silent film era. A celebration of ambition, resilience, and the power of a woman determined to tell her stories, She, Who Dared shines a light on an overlooked pioneer of cinema.
Gabrielle Rosson - Founder of GR Films

For as long as I can remember, storytelling has been a part of my life. Whether it's been in the form of a song, short story, or narrative film, I have always been compelled to write stories that explore relationships and the human condition. That's why I started GR Films. I believe that writing and filmmaking are therapeutic art forms that can be used to empower as much as they are used to entertain. It's my mission to connect with others and build community--one story at a time.
Over the past several years, I have produced and directed award-winning short films, proof-of-concepts, and independent projects, while gaining experience across feature film and television productions. Through this work, I have developed a strong foundation in development, writing, directing, and producing.
I am currently directing my first feature film, Trash Queen, a female-forward horror-comedy produced through Joan of Art LLC, the production company I founded with Emily Tullock to champion bold, women-centered storytelling both on screen and behind the camera.
The film reflects the kind of stories I am passionate about creating: genre-driven, deeply human, and centered on characters who discover their power in unexpected places.
